Supervision Senior Manager – Football Regulation

About the role

The Independent Football Regulator (IFR) is seeking a Supervision Senior Manager to lead its core regulatory function. This senior position will oversee financial analysis, licence processing and ongoing compliance monitoring for football clubs, while acting as the primary liaison between the regulator and the clubs it oversees.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day supervisory activities, including account management of individual clubs.
• Conduct financial analysis of clubs and assess licence applications.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with licence conditions and regulatory rules.
• Develop and implement the overall supervision strategy.
• Collaborate with policy teams to shape and update the regulatory framework.
• Build capability, operational processes and controls for effective club oversight.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regulatory supervision, compliance or licensing within a sports or similar sector.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with clubs or similar organisations.
• Ability to develop strategic supervision plans and translate policy into practice.
• Leadership experience managing a team and driving operational improvements.
