Supplier Relationship Manager - Utilities

About the role

A major utilities organisation is looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager based in Worthing, working 2-3 days per week in a hybrid arrangement. The role covers services suppliers supporting day-to-day operations, including FM, fleet, meter readings, smart meters, professional services, consultancy and debt collection. It suits a Contract Manager or Supplier Manager who wants a broader portfolio and more ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Build productive supplier relationships and hold suppliers accountable for contractual commitments
• Protect commercial value through price and spend controls, rebates and discounts
• Resolve contractual issues and manage variations to commercial terms
• Anticipate renewals, extensions and contract exits
• Reduce supplier risk and work with stakeholders to deliver the outcomes they need

Required profile

• Experience managing services contracts or supplier relationships
• Confidence in influencing stakeholders and challenging suppliers constructively
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Proactive approach and ability to manage competing priorities
• CIPS or WorldCC qualification
• Current and valid UK right to work
