Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

We are supporting a fast‑growing Manchester‑based consumer business that needs a Supply Chain Assistant to help manage stock, supplier relationships and reporting. This is an excellent entry‑level opportunity to gain broad exposure across supply chain, logistics, purchasing and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stock movements and ensure inventory records are accurate.
• Support purchase orders and maintain supplier communications.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries with logistics partners, suppliers and warehouses.
• Monitor stock levels, flag potential risks and maintain accurate cost files.
• Create regular reports on stock position and operational performance.
• Assist with supply planning and S&OP reporting.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to wider supply chain projects and product activities.

Required profile

• Some experience (ideally 6 months+) in supply chain, operations, logistics, purchasing or a similar environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communicator who enjoys collaborative work.
