Support Engineer

About the role

SiXworks is looking for a Support Engineer to join its team in Farnborough. You will help design, build and deliver secure digital solutions for Defence and National Security missions, working closely with engineers, architects and delivery specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to incoming tickets, provide 1st/2nd line support and escalate complex issues to 3rd line.
• Provide end‑user support both desk‑side and remotely, including device provisioning and onboarding.
• Issue communications for incidents and maintenance events, and update ticketing systems.
• Monitor alerts, triage incidents, and feed major incidents into the appropriate process.
• Document resolutions in the ticketing system and knowledge base.
• Occasionally travel to remote sites as required.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and macOS support and administration.
• Azure, Entra and Active Directory administration.
• Microsoft 365 and Intune endpoint management.
• PowerShell scripting.
• End‑user device provisioning and onboarding.
• Understanding of security concepts such as MFA and Conditional Access.
• Atlassian ITSM tools.
• Windows Server administration (desirable).
• iOS, iPadOS support and JAMF or similar MDM (desirable).
• Group Policy creation and troubleshooting (desirable).
• Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) exposure (desirable).
