About the role
We are seeking a Support Worker to join a social housing provider in Watford. The role is permanent and focuses on delivering tenancy support and housing management services for customers in move‑on programmes, ensuring a customer‑first, trauma‑informed approach.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of tenancies, supporting residents to maintain long‑term, stable housing.
- Conduct pre‑tenancy assessments, property inspections and tenancy reviews.
- Assist residents with rent management, payment planning and arrears reduction.
- Handle anti‑social behaviour, tenancy breaches and complex casework professionally.
- Collaborate with partners, support agencies and stakeholders to provide a joined‑up service.
- Represent the organisation in court and at community or stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure properties are safe, compliant and re‑let quickly to minimise void loss.
- Promote a trauma‑informed, customer‑first approach throughout the role.
Required profile
- Experience in housing management, preferably within social housing in the UK.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs such as mental health, substance misuse or domestic abuse.
- Valid UK driver’s licence.

What we offer
- Competitive salary of £30,000–£35,000 per year.
- Permanent contract with 37 hours per week (Monday‑Thursday 9 am–5:30 pm, Friday 9 am–5 pm).
