Support Worker – Person‑Centred Care

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Support Worker to deliver person‑centred care to tenants across our three North Tyneside services. You will help individuals develop everyday living skills, participate in a variety of activities, and enjoy a socially inclusive life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to tenants, encouraging independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with daily living tasks and facilitate participation in recreational activities.
• Follow positive behaviour support guidelines and adhere to local and corporate policies.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, sleep‑ins, weekends and bank holidays, to meet service needs.
• Collaborate with external agencies, community groups and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Warm, caring nature and a genuine commitment to improving people’s lives.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with service users.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and adapt to changing demands.
• Experience in social care is desirable but not mandatory; graduates are welcome.
