Sustainability Assistant – Compliance & Sustainability Coordinator

About the role

Join a fast‑growing accessories supplier as a Sustainability Assistant, supporting the Compliance and Sustainability Manager. This full‑time, onsite position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to develop expertise in product sustainability and factory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor factory audit status and arrange SMETA audits as required.
• Maintain the SEDEX platform, ensuring audit uploads, SAQ completion and non‑conformities closure.
• Keep internal records of certifications for Tier 1‑3 factories (GRS, RWS, FSC, OEKO‑TEX, etc.).
• Manage chain‑of‑custody certificates for sustainable certifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and factories to circulate and acknowledge company policies and standards.
• Liaise with factories to complete customer compliance and sustainability questionnaires.
• Assist with product technical tasks such as measuring and test‑report processing.

Required profile

• Graduate with a relevant degree (preferred).
• Some experience in a similar compliance or sustainability role is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
• Self‑motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel overseas as part of the role.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SMETA audit procedures.
• Experience using the SEDEX platform.
• Knowledge of sustainability certifications such as GRS, RWS, FSC and OEKO‑TEX.
• Ability to work with customer‑specific compliance tools and systems.
