Syndicate Finance Manager – Fixed Term (15 months)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established Lloyd's syndicate, is looking for an experienced Syndicate Finance Manager to cover a 15‑month maternity leave. This fixed‑term role offers the chance to lead high‑visibility regulatory reporting and financial statement delivery within a senior finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the preparation and submission of Lloyd's regulatory returns, including QMA, QMB, SBF, NAIC, TRIA/FIO and Solvency II.
• Lead the production of the Syndicate Financial Statements and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Present financial and underwriting commentary to senior management and support the capital setting process.
• Drive continuous improvement across Lloyd's reporting processes.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
• Extensive experience in the Lloyd's market with strong knowledge of syndicate reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Solid technical grounding in insurance accounting.
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with Workday, Phinsys or Clearwater.
