System Development Engineer – ToolBelt (Builder & Operator Tools)

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a System Development Engineer to join the ToolBelt team in Oxford. You will help design, build and operate automated build and deployment pipelines for Windows‑based services that run at massive scale across the AWS fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a code‑first CI/CD framework for Windows services.
• Automate build, test and deployment processes to improve operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal service teams to integrate tooling and resolve production issues.
• Design and implement monitoring, logging and alerting for the ToolBelt ecosystem.
• Contribute to the evolution of internal developer platforms and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong background in building large‑scale, highly available systems.
• Experience with Windows service development and deployment.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for automation, reliability and continuous improvement.
