Systems Accountant – Financial Performance & Systems Analyst

About the role

This hybrid position sits at the intersection of finance, systems and data, reporting into the Head of Financial Analysis. You will own the financial planning systems and deliver high‑quality reporting and analysis to support business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage financial planning systems, including Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Maintain and enhance models, structures and system performance.
• Support integration across Workday ERP, Snowflake and reporting tools.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and the planning system.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis, variance reporting and performance tracking.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
• Drive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure strong data integrity, governance and reconciliation.
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
• Provide training and support to users of finance systems and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Experience in FP&A, financial reporting or management accounting.
• Strong systems experience, ideally with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Experience building reports in Power BI.
• Knowledge of Workday ERP, Snowflake or comparable data platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) – qualified or studying (desirable).
