Tax Accounts Assistant

About the role

This permanent Tax Accounts Assistant role in Guildford offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with an eye for detail and a knack for numbers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Accountancy Specialists, including communicating with clients by phone and email.
• Learn basic bookkeeping and record transactions such as sales, purchases, income, receipts and payments for clients.
• Keep all databases up‑to‑date with progressing work and client details.
• Maintain departmental records (paper and electronic) in line with good practice and Data Protection standards.
• Follow and, where possible, improve departmental processes and company service standards.

Required profile

• Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills with a clear telephone manner.
• May be studying an accountancy qualification (AAT).
• Demonstrates drive, a positive approach to work and motivation to achieve targets.
• Strong IT and systems skills.
• Good time‑management abilities.
