Tax Assistant Manager – Share Schemes (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Assistant Manager to specialise in employee share schemes within our Human Capital Advisory team. The role combines advisory and compliance work on a range of tax‑advantaged and non‑tax‑advantaged share arrangements for entrepreneurial and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on the design and implementation of EMI, CSOP and other employee share schemes.
• Support transactions, due‑diligence exercises and share valuations.
• Manage annual share‑scheme reporting and HMRC submissions.
• Provide ongoing guidance on Employment Related Securities legislation.
• Build and maintain client relationships, identifying further advisory opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and review their work.
• Collaborate with tax specialists across a national team.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Experience with UK employee share schemes, both tax‑favoured and non‑tax‑favoured.
• Knowledge of Employment Related Securities legislation and HMRC registration processes.
• Proven client‑management and advisory delivery skills.
• Ability to support and develop junior colleagues.

Required skills

• EMI and CSOP scheme expertise.
• HMRC share‑scheme registration and annual return experience.
• Understanding of Employment Related Securities legislation.
