Tax Director

About the role

Our client, a respected independent accountancy and advisory firm in the North West, is seeking an experienced Tax Director to join its leadership team. Reporting directly to the Partners, you will shape the future of a growing tax practice while delivering strategic advice to a diverse portfolio of corporate and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex tax advisory projects, including restructuring, transactions, succession planning and shareholder matters.
• Manage and develop a substantial client portfolio, building trusted relationships.
• Identify growth opportunities and support business development initiatives.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing tax team.
• Collaborate with partners and other service lines to provide integrated client solutions.

Required profile

• CTA qualified; ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
• Significant experience in a professional services tax environment.
• Strong technical expertise across corporate tax and advisory matters.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead teams.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business growth.
