Tax Manager

About the role

We are supporting an independent accountancy practice in Worthing that seeks an experienced Tax Manager to join a close‑knit, office‑based team. The role offers the chance to manage a diverse client portfolio while working in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and business tax clients.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns.
• Handle capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, answering queries and providing practical advice.
• Liaise with HMRC when required.
• Support and mentor junior team members as appropriate.

Required profile

• Currently working at Tax Senior or Tax Manager level.
• CTA qualification desirable; ATT, ACA or ACCA qualifications also considered.
• Strong tax experience valued over formal qualifications.
• Confident in managing an own portfolio and communicating directly with clients.
• Team‑focused attitude and positive outlook.
