Tax Manager – Lead Personal Tax Portfolio

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a Tax Manager position where you will shape the future of a growing tax function. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop the firm’s personal tax offering, build client relationships, and influence departmental evolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients and ensure all tax deadlines are met.
• Oversee preparation and review of personal tax returns.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships.
• Identify and support tax planning opportunities.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Support the development and growth of the tax function.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on departmental initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Contribute to improving processes and client delivery.

Required profile

• ATT or CTA qualified, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in personal tax within a practice.
• Exposure to advisory work or a desire to develop in this area.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Full right to work in the UK.
