Tax Manager - Personal tax

About the role

We are seeking a CTA‑qualified Tax Manager to lead our personal tax practice in Watford. The role offers the chance to move beyond routine compliance and work on complex advisory projects for high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships and trusts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Tax Principals and team members to deliver high‑quality tax solutions.
• Meet with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored advice.
• Prepare and review personal, partnership and trust tax returns for complex cases.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and support implementation of strategies.
• Handle HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc advisory work across the firm.

Required profile

• CTA qualification (essential).
• Significant experience in personal tax compliance within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage junior staff and review technical work.
• Strong client‑facing skills and commercial awareness.
