Tax Resolutions Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Resolutions Consultant to join a leading specialist tax consultancy. The role involves handling complex direct tax investigations and disputes for a variety of professional firms across the UK, working entirely remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HMRC enquiries, investigations and COP8/COP9 matters for client organisations.
• Prepare and submit voluntary disclosures and negotiate settlement agreements.
• Provide technical tax advice and dispute resolution support to accountancy and tax advisory firms.
• Develop and deliver advisory guidance on complex tax issues to professional advisers.
• Collaborate with senior tax specialists to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in direct tax dispute resolution, either within a practice, HMRC or a specialist investigations team.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret tax legislation and apply it to multifaceted cases.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with professional advisers and HMRC representatives.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
