Tax Solicitor (3+ PQE)

About the role

The firm is a boutique tax advisory practice serving high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners, trustees and financial institutions. They are expanding and need a Tax Solicitor with at least three years post‑qualification experience to join a specialist advisory team in London.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex UK and international tax matters, often bespoke in nature.
• Support senior tax professionals on both advisory and contentious engagements.
• Conduct detailed legal and tax research under tight deadlines.
• Prepare clear, well‑structured advice for clients and their advisers.
• Work across private client, corporate, trust and property‑related matters.
• Liaise directly with clients and other professional advisers.
• Manage multiple assignments independently with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
• Strong academic record (minimum 2:1 or equivalent).
• Tax experience, preferably with exposure to private client work.
• Good knowledge of UK legal principles such as trusts, contracts, companies and land law.
• Experience in income tax, CGT, IHT, corporate tax and VAT.
• Familiarity with tax enquiries, disputes and regulatory frameworks is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
