Tax & Succession Solicitor (2+ PQE) – Edinburgh

About the role

We are seeking a Tax & Succession Solicitor with at least two years post‑qualification experience to join our respected Private Client team in Edinburgh. The role offers the chance to work with high‑net‑worth individuals, families, trustees and business owners, providing specialist advice on tax and succession matters within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate and succession planning.
• Provide guidance on trusts, asset protection and estate administration.
• Draft wills, trusts and related legal documentation.
• Support families and business owners in long‑term wealth preservation strategies.
• Collaborate with private client, property and corporate teams to deliver integrated advice.

Required profile

• Scottish‑qualified solicitor (or English/Welsh qualified) with 2+ years PQE in private client, tax or succession planning.
• Strong interest in tax, succession and estate planning.
• Excellent technical and drafting abilities.
• Proactive, commercially minded and eager to develop professionally.
• STEP qualification or willingness to work towards it is welcomed.
