Teaching Assistant – College Support Role

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a thriving further‑education college in Hounslow. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to support students across two campuses, working 3‑5 days a week in a modern learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across a range of subjects.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group academic assistance.
• Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.
• Assist learners who need additional guidance to access the curriculum.
• Prepare learning resources and maintain an organised classroom.
• Build positive relationships with students, teaching staff and support teams.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful atmosphere.

Required profile

• Degree from a Russell Group university.
• Genuine interest in education and supporting young adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, adaptable and professional approach.
• Flexibility to work across both college sites.
• Strong organisational skills and initiative.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
