Teaching Assistant for SEN School in North London

About the role
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support students aged 4‑14 at an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) school in North London. The role involves working with pupils who have complex learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorder, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with ASD and other complex learning requirements, both one‑on‑one and in small groups.
- Provide academic assistance, promote a positive classroom culture and offer emotional support.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and use positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery to develop communication and independence.
- Follow safeguarding policies to ensure student safety and well‑being.
Required profile
- Right to work in the UK and a clear, up‑to‑date DBS check.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, preferably with young people and an understanding of ASD.
- Patient, caring and resilient attitude.
