Teaching Assistant – Mental Health (Oxford)

About the role
This full‑time Teaching Assistant position supports young people with mental health and special educational needs in an Oxford school. You will work directly with students who have ASD, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs or learning disabilities, helping them build confidence, resilience and essential life skills.
Key responsibilities
- Support students' emotional well‑being and classroom engagement.
- Provide one‑on‑one assistance and help manage behaviour positively.
- Encourage social interaction and emotional development.
- Ensure student safety and well‑being throughout the day.
Required profile
- Passion for supporting young people with mental health, ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other special educational needs.
- Ability to work full‑time on site in Oxford with immediate start.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Experience or interest in supporting students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs or learning disabilities.
