Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time, Basildon)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Basildon from September. You will help create a nurturing environment for young learners, benefiting from strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to the teacher and assist pupils across the primary age range.
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support individual and group activities, ensuring all children are engaged.
• Assist with safeguarding duties and follow school policies.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted).
• Relevant TA training or qualifications (desirable).
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references.
