Teaching Assistant – Primary School (London Bridge)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a full‑time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for SEN pupils at a popular primary school in the London Bridge area. The role starts in September 2026 and runs until July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one assistance to SEN students, supporting their learning and wellbeing.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery, and classroom management.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to senior staff.
• Work the school’s term‑time hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in Key Stage 1 or 2 within the UK.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) with online update service.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the past two years.
