Teaching Assistant – Primary, Secondary & SEN (Burnley)

About the role

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and SEN settings in the Burnley area. The role involves providing classroom support, small‑group and one‑to‑one assistance, and helping maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering the National Curriculum across EYFS to Key Stage 5.
• Provide whole‑class, small‑group and individual support, including for pupils with special educational needs.
• Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom materials.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and report any concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 or HLTA).
• Excellent communication skills with strong spelling and grammar.
• Recent experience in primary, secondary or SEN schools.
• Ability to travel locally and work at least two days per week.
• Commitment to professional development and safeguarding.
