Teaching Assistant – Primary, Secondary & SEN Support

About the role

Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and SEN settings in the Lancaster area. You will work alongside teachers to deliver high‑quality learning experiences and provide targeted support to children with diverse needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in whole‑class, small‑group and one‑to‑one settings.
• Support pupils with special educational needs, adapting activities as required.
• Help implement the National Curriculum across EYFS to Key Stage 5.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
• Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 or HLTA).
• Strong communication skills with excellent spelling and grammar.
• Recent experience in a primary, secondary or SEN school.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.
• Ability to travel locally and work at least two days per week.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
