Teaching Assistant – SEN Support (Primary School)

About the role

We are seeking a confident Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a thriving primary school in Manchester. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, starting September 2026, with the possibility of moving onto a permanent school contract.

Key responsibilities

• Support children with additional needs in both academic and personal development.
• Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to individual abilities.
• Promote a positive, nurturing learning environment that encourages independence.
• Implement individual education plans, behaviour and care strategies, and reinforce positive behaviour.
• Participate in regular training sessions provided by the school.
