About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Lewisham. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment for pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils individually and in small groups with their learning.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
- Support the social, emotional and academic development of students.
- Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive and flexible approach.
- Good behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
