Teaching Assistant Vacancies – September Start

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistants to join a friendly primary school in Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, from September 2026. The roles support pupils with additional needs, primarily children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, helping them achieve their full potential in an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception child with ASD, fostering communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Deliver 1:1 assistance to a Year 1 pupil with ASD, managing behaviour, ensuring safety and promoting independence.
• Support two Year 6 girls working at a lower academic level, delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning materials.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENDCo and external professionals to implement personalised strategies.
• Adapt and differentiate learning activities to meet individual needs across literacy and numeracy.

Required profile

• Patience, proactivity and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Physical stamina to monitor active pupils and intervene safely when required.
• Experience or strong interest in working with children on the autism spectrum.
