Team Administrator – Solihull Early Intervention Team

About the role

This permanent Band 3 position provides essential administrative support to the Solihull Early Intervention Team within the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. You will act as a first point of contact for service users and families, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and contributing to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Type, format and dispatch letters and correspondence.
• Answer telephone queries, record messages accurately and direct enquiries appropriately.
• Manage diaries, schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Scan and upload documents to the patient record system in line with trust policy.
• Enter and update patient data, monitor new referrals and support timely processing.
• Provide reception cover during staff absence and support the team secretary.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, well‑organised and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to service users.
• Ability to make routine decisions while following supervision guidelines.
• Attention to detail and strong record‑keeping abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard office software for typing, formatting and document handling.
• Experience using electronic patient record systems.
