Team Leader – Care Services

About the role

Glassmoon Services is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our new care service in Newton Abbot. You will combine direct support with managerial responsibilities, helping individuals live their best lives while leading a compassionate care team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager in delivering person‑centred care that builds confidence, resilience and personal expression.
• Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the care team, ensuring compliance with best practice, legislation and internal policies.
• Maintain and develop the skills of both staff and people we support through tailored activities and interests.
• Complete safety checks, risk assessments and required documentation on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Engage in continuous learning and development to keep knowledge current.

Required profile

• Experience in delivering or managing care services, preferably within health and social care settings.
• Strong commitment to person‑led support and safeguarding standards.
• Ability to balance hands‑on care with leadership duties.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including sleep‑in and on‑call duties.

• Hourly rate of £15.76 plus £100 per sleep‑in shift and £50 on‑call supplement.
