Team Leader – Food & Beverage

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to support the Assistant Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of Kaboodle at Holiday Inn Express Derry. You will help create a fun, welcoming environment while ensuring the highest level of service for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with all food, beverage and bar operations.
• Oversee the Food & Beverage team, ensuring duties are performed to a high standard.
• Maintain familiarity with daily business to prepare the team for action.
• Serve food and drinks, delivering excellent customer service as a role model.
• Maintain a visible presence in the bar, responding promptly to guest requests and keeping areas clean.
• Handle guest complaints efficiently, ensuring satisfaction.
• Train, motivate and develop team members.
• Manage cash, charge, float and till procedures accurately.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal cleanliness standards.
• Support the Assistant Manager in encouraging and developing the team.

Required profile

• Supervisory experience or strong restaurant/bar team member ready for added responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and the team.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to recognise and meet customer needs.
• Good people skills and a genuine interest in hospitality.
• Confidence with systems and taking payments.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and resolve complaints promptly.
