Team Leader – Home Care (Glasgow South)

About the role

As a Team Leader for Home Instead in Glasgow South, you will oversee the delivery of high‑quality domiciliary care across the area. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will lead a team of care professionals, ensure compliance with regulations and drive continuous improvement in client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching and performance management to care staff.
• Support induction and ongoing development of team members.
• Address performance concerns constructively.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping and meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor service KPIs and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with scheduling and management teams.
• Participate in the on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Experience in domiciliary or community care.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory standards.
• Experience in care assessment and planning.
• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (or willingness to work towards).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.
