Technical Business Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a growing Project Management Office in Liverpool. The role sits at the intersection of business, technology and transformation, helping to deliver technology‑enabled change across a complex professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather and define requirements.
• Document business processes, user journeys and functional specifications.
• Facilitate requirement prioritisation, change control and traceability.
• Produce clear artefacts such as user stories, process maps and solution specifications.
• Support testing, data migration and post‑implementation activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable and aligned with organisational objectives.
• Contribute to transformation projects aimed at improving performance and efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience translating business challenges into user stories and technical requirements.
• Background in professional services, legal services or other regulated environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Visio for process mapping and wire‑framing.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with data mapping and requirements traceability.
