Technical Consultant - Financial Planning

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Consultant to support our financial planning team. Working remotely, you will become the go‑to expert on complex pension, investment and tax mitigation queries, helping planners deliver clear solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to financial planners on pensions, investments and tax mitigation.
• Interpret client cases and translate technical details into understandable advice.
• Develop and document best‑practice solutions for recurring technical issues.
• Collaborate with senior advisers, challenging assumptions when necessary.
• Support quality assurance and help‑desk functions as required.

Required profile

• Level 4 qualified (e.g., AAT, CII, or equivalent).
• Experience as a paraplanner, financial planner, technical/help‑desk specialist, or quality‑assurance professional.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to advise senior advisers.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive workplace values.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of pensions, investments and tax mitigation.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
