Technical Delivery Manager (Remedial Works)

About the role

Our client, a leading facilities management and property services provider, is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead a large remedial works programme across an extensive education portfolio. This hybrid role blends project management, clerk of works, and facilities management responsibilities, reporting to senior technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review survey reports and develop multi‑site remedial work programmes.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor works across a multi‑site estate.
• Manage and scale teams of technicians, handypersons, decorators and fabric specialists.
• Conduct site inspections, quality‑assurance checks and snagging processes.
• Track progress, programme milestones, material spend and budget compliance.
• Build strong relationships with school leadership and other stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, CDM regulations, safeguarding and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management, building surveying, construction, building services, clerk of works or site management.
• Demonstrated delivery of remedial works, fabric maintenance or life‑cycle projects across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of building fabric, construction methodologies and CDM regulations.
• Experience managing direct‑labour teams, contractors or trade specialists.
• Relevant qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ, City & Guilds) in Building Surveying, Construction Management or Building Services.
• IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
