Technical Manager – Fresh Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead quality, compliance and food safety initiatives within a high‑care fresh food manufacturing environment. You will shape technical strategy, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure the business meets the highest industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate BRC audits, both announced and unannounced.
• Develop, implement and maintain HACCP and BRCGS Version 9 controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality standards through structured improvement plans.
• Monitor, report and act on weekly and monthly KPI data.
• Maintain a robust auditing programme that satisfies BRC requirements.
• Chair the Health & Safety Committee and lead H&S meetings.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in technical or quality assurance roles within food manufacturing, preferably fresh foods.
• Proven track record of managing both announced and unannounced audits.
• Strong ability to build relationships with auditors, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in leading health and safety initiatives.
