Technical Program Manager – Science

About the role

CuspAI is building an on‑demand materials era by combining AI with frontier chemistry. The Technical Program Manager (Science) will bridge research and implementation, driving technical cohesion across AI, chemistry and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internal technical programs across frontier research, AI/ML model development, data workflows and machine‑learning infrastructure.
• Translate scientific and business objectives into executable plans, aligning commercial, research and engineering teams.
• Own planning and delivery of projects – calculate compute needs, manage resources, map timelines and mitigate risks.
• Lead technical programs with industry partners and research institutions, acting as primary contact for external collaborations.
• Facilitate technical discussions between internal teams and external stakeholders, and drive project scoping and proposal writing.
• Manage joint development initiatives and coordinate customer pilot programs from conception to deployment.
• Work with the global TPM team to refine scalable processes and implement metrics for tracking technical milestones.
• Coordinate compliance, regulatory considerations and support IP and scientific publication processes.
• Foster an interdisciplinary team culture and drive change management to scale the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong background in Natural Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager in a scientific or AI/ML environment.
• Technical fluency across model architecture, cloud infrastructure and the software development lifecycle.
• Leadership and facilitation skills for managing cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Ability to navigate high ambiguity and influence both technical researchers and non‑technical partners.
• Strategic thinking, problem‑solving and experience managing external‑facing customer projects.
