Technical Sales Engineer – Nuclear & Engineering

About the role

This position sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial delivery, helping clients in the nuclear and energy sectors turn technical challenges into profitable solutions. Based in Birchwood, you will spend most of your time meeting customers, attending industry events and visiting sites.

Key responsibilities

• Progress and convert existing sales opportunities in line with business priorities.
• Engage with clients to understand operational and technical challenges.
• Translate requirements into tailored, engineering‑led solutions.
• Prepare and present high‑quality proposals with clear commercial justification.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and delivery teams to shape viable solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Sales Engineer or in technical sales/business development.
• Background in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to close deals in a structured B2B environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Experience handling complex, solution‑based sales cycles.
