Technical Sales Executive – Industrial Consumables & Automotive

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Sales Executive to represent a globally recognised German manufacturer of premium coated abrasives. The role is remote‑based, covering the North of England and the Midlands, and focuses on developing new business while supporting existing customers and distribution partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers across the North of England and the Midlands.
• Manage and grow existing accounts and distributor relationships.
• Provide technical support and advice on German‑engineered abrasive products.
• Conduct product demonstrations, customer trials and application training.
• Assist body shops, manufacturers and industrial clients in process optimisation.
• Maintain a high degree of autonomy while managing your own territory.

Required profile

• Proven technical sales or business development experience.
• Background in abrasives, automotive refinishing, body shops, industrial consumables, tooling, coatings or manufacturing.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Technical sales expertise.
• Knowledge of abrasive products and coated abrasives.
• Understanding of automotive refinishing processes.

• Base salary £35,000‑£40,000 per year.
