Technical Sales Manager

About the role

This is a relationship‑focused technical sales position with a leading engineering business. You will work with major industrial customers across the UK and internationally, travelling to understand their applications and develop long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Visit existing and prospective customers to identify needs and propose engineering solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial operators, service providers, distributors and multinational organisations.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure the right products are matched to customer requirements.
• Drive profitable growth by expanding the sales pipeline and securing new business opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry events and support the development of a proactive sales function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical or engineering sales, business development or account management.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong commercial drive with a focus on long‑term partnership building.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and abroad.

Required skills

• Technical sales expertise within industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy or manufacturing.
• Relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of engineering product portfolios and customer applications.
