Technology Analyst Degree Apprenticeship

About the role

Barclays is recruiting a Technology Analyst for its Degree Apprenticeship programme based at its Knutsford campus. The apprentice takes part in the day-to-day operations of the technology function, working across a range of technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. The programme combines a full-time, permanent job with a professional qualification, earning while studying.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the design and innovation of products using the newest technologies.
• Work cross-functionally with the business to understand its needs and convey them to the wider development team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop change and innovative solutions and collaborate with peers, promoting knowledge sharing.
• Meet stakeholder and customer needs through operational excellence and customer service, performing prescribed activities to a high standard.
• Follow processes and procedures, escalate policy breaches, and take responsibility for customer service and operational execution.
• Manage risk and strengthen controls in the work owned, and deliver in line with rules, regulations and codes of conduct.
• Build an understanding of the team's role and of other teams within the function.

Required profile

• Minimum 104 points at A2 (grades BCC) or equivalent, such as BTEC DMM, plus GCSE Mathematics and English Language (grade A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent.
• Commitment and enthusiasm, with the willingness to work hard every day.
• Eligibility for government apprentice funding: 3-year residence requirement, legal right to work for the full duration of the programme (August 2027 to August 2031), and no prior funded study or apprenticeship.
