Telematics Field Engineer

About the role

Join a nationwide auto‑electrical installation company as a Telematics Field Engineer. You will work on a diverse fleet of vehicles—from passenger cars to buses and heavy goods vehicles—installing telematics, CCTV and other aftermarket systems across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Install telematics, vehicle CCTV and other ancillary equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use a laptop or iPad to record installation details and generate reports.
• Identify and resolve any installation issues on site.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism while representing the client.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote safe driving practices.

Required profile

• Knowledge of auto‑electrical installations and industry standards (training provided).
• Auto‑electrical or light‑vehicle qualification is desirable but transferable skills are considered.
• Ability to work independently in the field and deliver quality workmanship.
• Desirable: experience mentoring apprentices, NPPV security clearance or DBS check.
