Temporary Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Temporary Accounts Assistant to support our client’s finance team in Carlisle during a busy period. The role is full‑time and temporary, with the possibility of extension, offering an immediate start for candidates with prior accounts experience.

Key responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Assisting with bank reconciliations
• Handling payment runs
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting the finance team with general administrative duties
• Assisting with month‑end processes where required

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
• Availability to start immediately or at short notice
