Temporary Biology Lecturer – Flexible Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Biology Lecturers for temporary assignments with well‑established Further Education providers in the South East of England. The role offers flexibility and the chance to impact learners across a range of programmes and levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Biology lessons.
• Teach learners of varying abilities and monitor their progress.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Support practical laboratory sessions in line with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or qualification in Biology or a related Life Sciences discipline.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Biology in Further Education, secondary or adult learning environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
