Temporary Caretaker / Cleaner

About the role

We are seeking reliable temporary caretakers and cleaners to maintain residential developments across London on a part‑time basis. Working hours typically run from 8 am to 4 pm, with schedules varying according to client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Clean communal indoor and outdoor areas, including gyms, lifts, corridors, stairwells and courtyards.
• Vacuum carpets, mop and jet‑wash floors, and clean glass surfaces, windows, ledges, doors and skirtings.
• Rotate and empty bins, transport large waste containers to collection points, and compact cardboard.
• Conduct regular building patrols to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain tidy communal spaces by picking up litter and ensuring all areas are presentable.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible part‑time hours, generally between 8 am and 4 pm.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling of large bins and cleaning equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Reliability and willingness to follow health and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of vacuum cleaners, floor‑mopping equipment and jet washers.
• Manual handling of waste containers and heavy items.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage.
