Temporary Catering & Domestic Assistant – Hertfordshire, Essex & London

About the role

We are looking for reliable, motivated individuals to join our team as Temporary Catering and Domestic Assistants. The role offers flexible, ad‑hoc shifts across schools, care homes, nursing homes and other healthcare settings in Hertfordshire, Essex and London.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal service.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Wash dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Perform general domestic and housekeeping duties.
• Clean communal areas, bedrooms and facilities.
• Follow health, safety and infection‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate if not already held.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to follow mandatory kitchen training certificates (support provided if needed).
