Temporary Credit Controller (Interim)

About the role

Join a growing SME on the outskirts of Southampton as an Interim Credit Controller. You will help maintain cash flow during a busy period by strengthening credit control and sales ledger processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end credit control activities, aiming to reduce overdue balances and support timely collections.
• Oversee sales ledger processes, monitor account status and resolve billing‑related issues.
• Handle customer queries professionally, work towards agreed outcomes and maintain clear audit trails.
• Support accurate ledger maintenance and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control and sales ledger management.
• Strong customer and stakeholder communication skills with a calm, solution‑focused approach.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when reconciling account information and resolving queries.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate between £15 and £17, dependent on experience.
• Hybrid working – three days in the office and two days remote.
• Two‑month fixed‑term contract supporting post‑acquisition business‑as‑usual activity.
