Temporary Management Accountant – Bristol

About the role

This temporary position is for a Management Accountant based in Bristol. You will support the finance team by preparing accounts, analysing performance and providing financial insight to help drive commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting packs.
• Produce accruals, pre‑payments and month‑end journal entries.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Analyse financial performance and investigate variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning processes.
• Develop financial models to aid commercial decision‑making.
• Partner with operational and department leaders, monitoring and reporting key business KPIs.
• Assist with year‑end accounts and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Management Accountant role.
• Strong month‑end and management reporting experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Financial modelling.
