About the role
We are looking for a Temporary Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance Department in Colchester for a 2‑3 month assignment. The role provides day‑to‑day support to a small finance team, ensuring smooth processing of supplier invoices and related tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries.
- Assist with payment runs and general finance administration.
- Provide wider office administration support as required.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a finance department, preferably in purchase ledger or accounts payable.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sage 200 or similar accounting software.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.71‑£14.00.
- Full‑time office‑based schedule (40 hours/week) with defined Monday‑Thursday and Friday hours.
